Another waste of a day

It’s so hot in Rome, and I have seen four apartments. I start thinking that I will never find a suitable one. I find so much rubbish around and so expensive. I either find a rich man or a rich lady, or I might move back to Naples by the end of Summer. Money is never enough; despite earning good money, it goes so quickly. When I met Romano, I was in Naples, walking down the road where all nativity statues and plastics are shown during December, San Gregorio Armeno. He just asked for some information, and the person he asked to was ready to fuck him taking him somewhere to sell him some original statues of the 16th Century at the price of a modern one. I wasn’t sure whether to intervene or not. I thought, in a way, that if people want to get screwed, they should have the right to do so, but I saw that the man had a sweet face, and he was trying to be nice to the crook and not offend him saying that he didn’t give half a shit about the statues of the 16th Century. So, I asked the guy to show me the statues, and I would have bought them all. I claimed to be an employee of the Capodimonte Museum; we were always looking for precious pieces. I didn’t even rich the end of the sentence, he was gone. He thanked me, saying that he knew it was a crook, but he felt that giving the guy 20 euros would not have changed his life, while the boy would have been happy. So, I asked him to provide me with 20 euros as I would have been very happy too. He laughed, took 50 euros from his pocket, and told me to have a nice Xmas. I gave them back to him but he insisted that I felt offended. He understood and told me he was joking and asked me if I fancied something to eat, perhaps a pizza.

We went to eat at a popular pizzeria, and he showed appreciation for Neapolitan food. We met again in the evening, and I took him to eat mushroom soup and caponata. He loved every bit of it. On Christmas day, he returned to Naples, surprising me and offering me the opportunity to work in his gym as a Pilate instructor. I qualified two years earlier, and I have worked here and there. The idea of changing life and going away from my past excited me so much! YES! When do I move? And I moved to Rome with him after New Year’s celebrations. It became very clear that Romano was in love with me, so I have made it clear that I cannot reciprocate his feelings because I am a lesbian. He took it as if I said I was Catholic or Pentecostal… As if it was just a detail. “So what?” was his point. “I am asking for love, not for sex”. I found him so sweet; it was my first maternal feeling for a man. So, we continued staying together until I invited, once, a lesbian girl I met on the net for dinner. He didn’t appreciate it, and Maria, the girl’s name, left soon after dinner. Since then, I have had no visitors and have not talked with Romano about my dates and friends. He is terribly jealous. I must find a place! Unfortunately, my budget is not that high. Anyway, it’s 14:20, and I’ve still not eaten. This blog takes a lot of time! And I hope I will manage to read it, too, sometimes, as I do not correct errors and so on. I am sure you will forgive all the mistakes. English is not my language, and I am not a typist!

Kisses!
