Thanks but…
This is the usual sentence when you try to sell something to someone, when you are not suitable for a position or looking for a place, and it seems none is good enough for you. When you like it, though, the landlord or the landlady sometimes says so. Today, I experienced them all…
I got a fitness machine and found a place that buys second-hand ones for top money. Well, it was far too top, and the guy told me, “Thanks, but this is too expensive for us, and we will never manage to sell it. We can keep it in store for you, and if someone buys it, we will send you a cheque.” My answer was a “No thanks”, without buts.
I saw an advert in a local paper for a Pilates and Aerobics instructor. I called, and after 15 minutes, the answer was, “Thanks, but we have shortlisted some people who seem to have more qualifications than you”.
I went to see the room at Luigi’s friend’s, but despite the nice location and the place itself, the apartment is running behind with payments, and the service charges have not been paid. So, “Thanks, but…”. The last one was a nice flat in the San Giovanni area. It was very nice, but the landlord prefers a family or a couple to a single lady.
I managed to do some work as well and to talk to Anneka. I was afraid of calling her, and we had no contact yesterday. It was nice to hear her voice and find out that she is bisexual but prefers women by far. She wants to talk to me either tonight or tomorrow. I am not sure it will be as nice as the last time we met, but I cannot wait to see her again.
Today, the playboy was trying an approach again… I rebuffed him. Let’s see how big his ego is. He reminds me so much of the bastard who abused me. One of the two. They have the same ways and the same arrogance.
It’s time to go now. Ciao guys!
