I am nearing the end of my holiday, and I loved it. I had a great time in NYC despite the heat and humidity, a great relaxing time on the coast of Massachusetts, and two great days in Boston. Let me tell you my impressions of these places many years after leaving them and returning.
NYC got worse by far. Dirtier, noisier, food wise very expensive, taxi drivers are now ruder than the Hispanic used to be, now they have been replaced by other ethnic groups, little Italy shrunk and is now in the hands of Middle Eastern and Turks and the food sucks, Chinatown got much bigger and food is great, people are always friendly.
Boston is still the same. It’s nice, but the people are still the same stuck-up-nosed ones they used to be. They’re very unfriendly and far too arrogant for no reason. The food is good, as always, and the bars are excellent. They’re very spacious and not small like those in NYC.
The MA Coast is excellent. From Lynn to Peabody to Salem, it’s just fantastic. This is the area I would move to if I had the opportunity to return to the States.
Friends. I met nearly all those I wanted, with a few exceptions.
Overall a great vacation and despite the death of Ted Kennedy, tonight many roads were closed to allow people to pay their final respect to the Senator, and the hurricane hitting us in this moment, I will herish it as a great two weeks.
Time to go to sleep! Bye, everyone!
