I need to write this down so that when I'm done, I'll understand what I've been doing.
Bonnie doesn't exist. She never has. She's a fiction Flavio created to explain away the fact that he's in love with someone he can never have. She's his way of avoiding the questions about why he doesn't date. Why he's always single. Why he can't seem to connect with anyone romantically.
Which made me realize something: we're both liars. Both of us performing versions of ourselves that don't actually exist.
But at least Flavio's lie makes sense. He's protecting himself from something real.
My lie is just... emptiness. A performance of depth where there's nothing underneath.

Mario—be careful. Accusing Flavio in your head is one thing; if any of this is wrong, you'll burn the one bridge you have left.
