Flavio's coming

Flavio is coming back to Rome for Christmas.

Just knowing that makes the weight slightly lighter. I won't have to do this alone.

He's been my best friend for almost ten years. Through everything. Through all my failures and cruelties and desperate attempts to be someone better.

Maybe that's what friendship actually is—showing up even when it's hard. Even when the person you're supporting doesn't deserve it.
