She's moving her boxes into the apartment today. Slowly transforming it from my place into our place.
I found her in the bedroom this morning arranging the prenatal vitamins on the nightstand. She was humming. Just absently humming while she organized things.
It was the most domestic moment of my entire life.
I asked if she needed help. She said no, that this was something she wanted to do herself. To claim the space as hers.
So I made coffee and sat at the kitchen table and watched her move through the apartment making it into something new.
Flavio would probably have something insightful to say about this moment. About what it means that I've gone from running from commitment to actively building a life with someone.
But Flavio is in New York and I'm here, so I'll just sit with this feeling and try not to overthink it.

This is beautiful, Mario. You're building something real.
