Sonya is moving in

We decided this afternoon. She's going to start bringing her things over next week.

It's happening faster than I expected. But Sonya says the apartment she's been renting is too expensive to keep while pregnant, and staying with her sister is becoming stressful.

So she's moving in with me.

And I'm... okay with it. More than okay. I'm actually looking forward to it.

She has this energy about her when she talks about the pregnancy. This fierce protectiveness. This knowledge that she's creating something that will outlast both of us.

I want to be part of that. I want to be someone she can lean on instead of someone she's constantly bracing against.

We're going to try. Actually try.

It won't be perfect. But it might be real.
